The 18 hole course is hilly and elevated tee positions provide excellent driving to wide lush sloping fairways which are tree lined. If you are on the fairways you can be assured of excellent lies with the ball just asking to be hit. The greens are varied in size but are all of exceptional quality and fast.
There are long par 3’s most notably the 13th hole. Approached after a long climb the tee shot is played over a chasm with out of bounds on the left and a tree lined hillside on the right. At nearly 200 yards it’s a real test. Wait a while and get your breath and look to the north to the Roaches and the bleak moors beyond. Just magnificent.
